"The Holy Land is Everywhere"

Nicholas Black Elk

The goal of this project is to educate and prepare peers and viewers on the importance of conserving water and the environments we live in. This project approaches the possibilities of sustainability in water conservation and various other related topics.  With a better understanding of the dangers our water faces today, we can conserve and reclaim our water for tomorrow.

Goals

Pre-Investigations

Pre-Investigations are a first look into a topic I have found interesting. They are an overview of what I want to research during that week to gain a better understanding of a certain area of Environmental Science. Since Pre-Investigations serve as a basis for understanding, they are an important addition to my Learning Portfolio to compare my initial goals of my research to the end result.

Investigations

Investigations are an expansion upon Pre-Investigations. In my Investigations, I looked further into the topics I discussed in my corresponding Pre-Investigation in order ot better understand and area of Environmental Science. This is a crucial step in my reasearch, as I found most of my reliable sources and topics during this process.

Final Project

The Final Project incorporates all information researched in the Pre-Investigations and Investigations. It combines these ideas into one presentation meant to engage an audience and get them excited about water conservation.

About

I am Stephen Lindsay. I am a freshman at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. I am majoring in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with disciplines in Environmental Science and Social Work. As I learn and travel, I discover new problems we face in the world today. In order to do my part in making the world more enjoyable for everyone, I decided to pursue Environmental Science. This course has opened my eyes to the vast number of issues our planet is facing, and it has opened my mind to the many possible ways humanity can fix these problems together. I am excited to share what I've learned during this course with you in my Learning Portfolio!
